Ernestine Ussery

Ernestine Ussery, 87, of Springdale, Arkansas went to be with Jesus on March 14th, 2019. She was born to Ernest and Alphia Connors Walters on June 8, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri. Graduating from Manuel High School in Kansas City, in 1948, she attended John Brown University where she met her Bill. They were married December 17, 1949. Ernestine enjoyed working in the nursery at First Baptist Church, Springdale for many years and selling Avon. She made friends with everyone she met and always had a big smile. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Sam Ford. She is survived by her husband, William H. "Bill" Ussery; five children, Stephen, Bill (Melissa) all of Springdale, John (Pam) of Kansas City, Missouri, Nancy Ford (Dan) of Fruita, Colorado, and Dr. David (Colleen) of Little Rock, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 with Pastor Guy Durkee officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
