James "Rick" Richard VanCuren

James "Rick" Richard VanCuren, 51, of Springdale passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born March 8, 1967, in Fayetteville to John and Judy Phipps VanCuren. James worked as a plumbers assistant at Fayetteville Plumbing. He loved fishing, camping, fantasy role playing and football. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, J U and Frances Phipps and John and Margerie VanCuren and his mother in law, Maureen Graue. Survivors include his wife, Janie VanCuren of the home; one son, Bryan VanCuren of Prescott, Arkansas; one daughter, Heather VanCuren of Springdale; four brothers, John VanCuren and wife Michele of Springdale, Shane Griffin of Chester, Arkansas, Steven Turner and wife Jennifer of Springdale and Tony R. Dawson of Anderson, Missouri; two sisters, Kellie VanCuren of Springdale and Jamie Trammell and husband Anthony of Lowell; nine nephews, Garrick, Les, Conner, Kyle, Colton, John P, William, Izaiah and Luis; three nieces, Ashley, Alex, Jessica and thirteen great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ. There will be a gathering of friends after 3 p.m. at 4949 Ervin McGarrah Road, Lowell, Arkansas.
