Virginia S. Venable

Virginia S. Venable, beloved wife, mother and friend, 86, of Wichita, Kan., passed away Saturday March 9, 2019. She was born June 23, 1932, in Sparrows Point, Maryland to Richard P. and Louise W. Smith. Virginia was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springdale, retired medical Social Worker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, teaching and had a special appreciation for music. She also enjoyed volunteer work in addition to her church activities. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles L. Venable of 67 years, one son Stephen R. Venable, one brother and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are, three sons: Robert Venable and wife Lin of Franklin, Tennessee, Matthew Venable and wife Denice of Wichita, Kansas, and Alexander Venable and wife Michelle of New Market, Maryland; one daughter Linda Kirchner of Sparks, Maryland: one daughter in law Elaine Venable of Lake Wales, Florida: eighteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10: a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel.
