Ruby Avon Starr

Ruby Avon Starr, 85, of England passed from this life on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was born Wednesday, May 31, 1933 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Al and Ruby Jewell Martin Gentry. Mrs. Starr enjoyed dancing, gardening and playing bingo, but found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, Willard Bolin, Bud Pettit, Ray Starr; siblings, Fern Elliott, Jerry Gentry, Mitchell Gentry, J.W. Gentry, Kay Gentry; sons-in-law, Weldon Reynolds, James Spurlock, C.M. Prather; grandchildren, Pam Prather, Eric Doyle, Todd Doyle and great-grandson, Jeremiah Jenkins. Survivors include children, Brenda Reynolds of England, Linda Spurlock of Lonoke, Pat Prather of North Little Rock, Debbie (Jeff) Lemaire of North Little Rock, Sammy (Sharon) Bolin of North Little Rock; siblings, Mary Eaton of Harrison and Mike Gentry of Green Forest. Other survivors include eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; special friend, Roy White of Cabot; lifelong friend, Jannie Scott of England and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Brother Willie Gold officiating. Interment will follow at Mulberry Cemetery in England.
