Kara Lea Shockley, 54, and lifetime Springdale resident, died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born July 21, 1964 to James Hershel and Sybble Leanell (Zachary) Shockley. Kara graduated from and worked at the Elizabeth Richardson Center in her younger years. She enjoyed coloring and latch-hook crafts, and was a huge Barbara Mandrell fan. She especially enjoyed traveling with her parents in their motorhome and attending shows in Branson. Kara was baptized into the Church of Christ and could always be heard singing. She is survived by her aunts and uncles, Margie King, Valera Wallis, Dorothy Zachary, A.E. Erwin, Jr., and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Sherman and Geneva (Barton) Zachary and James Hayden and Parolee (Creech) Shockley. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Bluff Cemetery.
