Irene Wheeler Helms

Irene Wheeler Helms left her earthly body on March 20, 2019. She was born January 1, 1927 to Thurman and Rose (Coley) Wheeler. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clifton Helms; two daughters, Sharon Kay and Linda Helms; one son, Aubrey "Buddy" Helms; five brothers, Trace, Bill, Allen T, Ira "Sam", and Buck Wheeler; and three sisters, Gladys McDaniel, Florence Borden and Grace Wheeler. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Linda Lou Helms; four granddaughters, Shanna (Dan) Kennedy, Staci (Todd) Grissom, Stephanie (Shaun) Smith, and Brittney (Ryan) Wubbenhorst; one grandson, Jeff Helms; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister-in-law, Mirl Helms and countless friends and family. We'll remember her as a beautiful spirit who taught us how to love and how to laugh. Before going on a weekend trip recently, she left her family a note. The message applies to us today: "I Love You.
