Earl Ernest Edmundson

Earl Ernest Edmundson, age 86, of Lowell, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the Dunlap Specialty Care of Dunlap, Iowa. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The Armstrong-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ute, Iowa, is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Earl Ernest Edmundson was born in Havelock, Iowa, on November 15, 1932, the son of Ernest and Laura (Schleusener) Edmundson. He attended Laurens Community School graduating with the class of 1950. Earl worked for CI Hersom Construction Company part time from the age of 15. He was working full time as a brick layer when he went to work for M & JR Hakes Wholesale Grocery in Laurens, Iowa. On December 14, 1952, Earl was united in marriage to Nancy Welch of Marathon, Iowa. The couple was blessed with four children: Eric, Robert, Gregory, and Linda. In 1989, Earl retired and he and Nancy moved to Lowell, Ark., where he was currently residing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and ushering at Razorback sporting events. Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 66 years Nancy Edmundson of Lowell, Ark.; children Eric (Peggy) Edmundson of Pineville, Mo., Gregory (Terri) Edmundson of Bentonville, Ark., and Linda (Dave) Seieroe of Ute, Iowa; 12 grandchildren: Jeremiah (Andrea), Cory, Colby (Michelle), Kent, Kay (David), Zac, Ian, Andrew, Caitlin (Charlie), Brian (Ashton), Jessica, and Callie; 10 great-grandchildren: Madison, Sydney, Jackson, Marissa, Owen, Anna, Chloe, Destin, James, and Annabelle. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Laura Edmundson; sister Laura Lee (Bill) Edmonds; and son Robert Edmundson.
