JOHN WILLIAMS, 92, of North Little Rock passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at John L. McClellan Veteran's Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1927 in Des Arc, Ark., to the late Elzie and Alice Williams. John's family relocated to Hickory Plains during his adolescent years. He served in the U.S. Navy and received an Honorable Discharge in 1946. He retired from Swift Packing Company in 1989. John was a resident of the Marche Community for 57 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Mary Holloway, Elmer and Andrew Williams; daughters Rosalyn Williams, Sylvia Daniels, Eleanor Wheeler, and Diana Jones. John is survived by his faithful wife of 72 years, Savannah Hood Williams, three sons: Cecil (Lillie) Williams and Terry M. Williams of North Little Rock, and Wallace (Pamela) Williams of Little Rock, one daughter: Joane (Carl) Wilkins of North Little Rock, sons-in-law: William Daniels and Sylvester Wheeler, seventeen grandchildren: Victor, Joi, Von Sheila, Christopher, Monita, Gregory, Kendra, LaTonya, Monica, David, Steven, Jacob, Carla, Amanda, Yolanda, Eric, and Samantha, fifty great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren, five brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Hubble Memorial Chapel. Visitation 2-6 p.m., Tuesday. Interment: 1 p.m., Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with full honors, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, NLR, Ark., 72120.
