Verne Clark Hornbeck

Verne Clark Hornbeck, 87, died March 22, 2019 following a lengthy illness. She was born November 2, 1931, in England, Ark., to Otis J. Clark and Myrtle Ramsey Brantley. She retired as a clerk from AP&L and was a member of First Christian Church. Verne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years Carrol Hornbeck, and brother Vernon Hornbeck. She is survived by her three children: Donna H. Adkison of Mountain View, Ronnie Hornbeck and his wife Virginia of Alamo, Texas, and Mike Hornbeck of DeWitt, the lights of her life her two grandchildren Adam and Leah; brother Bill Clark of North Little Rock, special friend Wanda Bonds, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, March 25 at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Essex Funeral Home. Burial will be in DeWitt Cemetery. www.essexfuneralhome.com.
