Glenda Ann Roachell

Glenda Ann Roachell, 74, of Lonoke, Arkansas entered Heavens Gates on, Friday, March 22, 2019. She was born in Warren, Arkansas on, November 19, 1944 to the late William Arvel and Letha Blanche Johnston. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Willie John Johnston and three sisters; Wilma Gasch, Reba Sue Johnston and Shirley Faye Johnston. Glenda retired after working with the Arkansas Democrat Gazette for more than thirty-two years in the circulation and distribution department. She enjoyed, cooking, gardening, canning, watching her T.V. Shows, treating herself with her Little Debbie snack cakes and picking tomatoes. She was known for always putting others first and taking care of everyone. She also enjoyed making big meals and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Bill Roachell (Lisa), of Conway, two daughters; Karen Roachell, of Benton, and Teresa Taylor (Carl), of Bauxite, three grandchildren; Kirsten Bain (Chris), Summar Roachell, and Bryce Taylor, and a special great-grandchild "Baby Bain" due in October of 2019, one brother; Charlie Johnston, of Rose Bud, four sisters; Erma Johnston, of Jacksonville, Mattie Cotton, of North Little Rock, Verna Mae Hunter (Vick) of Warren, and Debbie Polk of Cabot, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Gathering of friends and family will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church 10765 Samples Road in Alexander, Arkansas 72002. A Celebration of Life will be held at the church on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be private at Union Cemetery in Warren, Arkansas.
