Peggy Carolyn Swafford, 82, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She was born August 14, 1936 in St. Joe, Ark., to Floyd Benjamin and Ruth Caroline Russell Henley. Peggy's passion in life was being a caregiver to many people over the years. She was devoted to her family who also loved her very dearly, and was a charter member of First United Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville.
She is survived by three daughters, Lucreta Hampton (Ron), Susan Long (Larry), and Kim Reynolds (Steven) all of Fayetteville; two brothers including her twin, Charles Henley, of Cleveland, Okla., Orville Henley of Winona, Okla.; five grandchildren, Ashley, Jerome, Carey, Breanna, Dedee; and eight great-grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Swafford, a granddaughter, Devin Long, four sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at First United Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church with interment at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
