Alma Lillian Hartman, age 100 and lifelong Tontitown resident, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019. She was born January 20, 1919, in Tontitown to Joseph and Iginia Pianalto Cigainero.
Alma loved to fish, crochet, quilt, and take Sunday drives. She owned and operated both the Corner Café and the Tontitown Café. She faithfully supported church missions and made hundreds of scapulars over the years.
Alma is survived by three daughters, Pat Pellin (Danny), and Gena Hartman, both of Tontitown, and Mary Nell Plumlee (Drew Trucks) of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, Tonya, Janet, Duane Jr., Jackie, Eric, Michael, Kevin, and Kelli; ten great-grandchildren, Jordan, Cory, Jeremiah, Jacob, Anna, Henry, Olivia, Annabella, Maci, and Jude. She was preceded in death by a son, Duane Hartman; two granddaughters, Denise and Jessica; one great-grandson, Jonathan; and four sisters, Catherine, Eileen, Madeline, and Lillian.
The family would like to thank Alma's special caregivers including Donna, Rachael, House of Three, and Hospice of North Arkansas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home, online obituary and guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.
