Marcia Rae McCain

Fayetteville, AR, 1928 - 2019

Marcia Rae McCain, age 90, of Fayetteville, Ark. passed away Good Friday, April 19, 2019. She was born November 11, 1928 to William Ray McClelland and Elizabeth (Voorhees) McClelland. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Mrs. McCain was a homemaker and an enthusiastic volunteer for many charities. She served on several ministries at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, worked with Oaks Indian Mission, and helped found Cooperative Emergency Outreach (CEO) and Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NW AR. When she received recognition awards for her charity work, she encouraged more people to volunteer. "The best way to honor a volunteer is to become a volunteer."
She is survived by her four children, Steven McCain (Susan), Marilyn Wiesehan (John), David McCain (Wendy), and Bruce McCain, eight grandchildren, Devin, Lauren, Jeffery, Chris, Robert, Piper, Hannah, and Olivia, and three great grandchildren, Zane, Alanna, and Trevor.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2925 N. Old Missouri Road, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703.
