Lamar William James, age 81, of Paron passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019. He was born February 21, 1938 in Paron. Lamar was a retired Construction Worker and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Dora Hogue James; granddaughter Ashley James.
Lamar was an avid sportsman, he loved to Turkey and Deer Hunt.
Survivors: wife Mary Grimmett James, son Greg James, daughters Toni (Gary) Shaw, Carmen James, sister Debbie Pannell, six grandchildren: Lacy Shaw, Chancey Shaw, Curtis Gunn, Megan Gunn, Tanner James, and Hunter James, and three great-grandchildren: Carter Shaw Hulsey, Emerson Shaw Hulsey and Cotton Lamar James; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fowler Cemetery in Paron. Pete Taylor will officiate.
