Victor Lynn Hicks

Victor Lynn Hicks, 67, of Sardis, Arkansas, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 5, 2019. He was born February 2, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Tilma and Harvey Hicks. Vic was a 1970 graduate of McClellan High School, and attended Arkansas State University on a golf scholarship. Vic was employed in the beverage sales industry for over 35 years and retired as a sales manager from Golden Eagle of Arkansas. Never meeting a stranger, Vic felt that making friends was his purpose in life and offered a kind word and a smiling face to everyone he met. Vic was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather and would do anything for his family. Vic always brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. A scratch golfer, he had a love for golf and enjoyed sharing that love with other people. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He is preceded in death by his father, Harvey Hicks and niece, Tollie Hicks. Vic is survived by his mother, Tilma; devoted wife of 40 years, Karen Hicks; daughter, Victoria (Ty) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, son, Jacob (Reda) of Humble, Texas; brother, Andy Hicks (Darlene) of Springdale, Arkansas, sister, Nancy Jauernig (Bill) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Howard and Katie Hicks of Humble, Texas. A celebration of Vic's life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at Sardis United Methodist Church, with a visitation before at noon.
