Margaret M. Williams, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Holy Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Memphis, Tenn. Marge was born on Holy Thursday, April 3, 1947 in Dunkirk, N.Y. to Melvin and Marie Price. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Arkansas and made Jacksonville, Ark. her home until moving to Memphis, Tenn. in recent years. Marge demonstrated her love of the Catholic faith by living the gospel in her private life. She was a daughter, sister, mother, loving Nana to her precious grandkids whom she adored, aunt, special friend, and sweet, kind soul. She was an amazing cook, but her culinary claim to fame was her famous decorated iced sugar cookies. Marge loved going to flea markets and garage sales, but working cross-word puzzles was her favorite pastime in her later years. Marge is survived by her father, Melvin Price of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., sister Judith Wilkins (Rich) of Pinehurst, N.C., brother James Price (Cheryl) of Mt. Pleasant S.C., daughter, Shannon Murrah (Chris) of Memphis, Tenn., and son, Jason Carpenter of Cabot, Ark. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob Carpenter, Emily Murrah, Luke Murrah, Will Murrah and Jaxon Carpenter along with her nephew, Tom Wilkins, and nieces, Stephanie Wilkins and Kristen Price. Additionally, she is survived by her extended family, Bill Carpenter and Cheryl Carpenter. Marge was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Price. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Memphis, TN on April 11, 2019. A public graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery in Jacksonville, Ark. Donations in memory of Marge Williams may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
