Derrell Gardner, 77, passed away May 8 surrounded by his family. He was born December 31, 1941 in Almyra, Ark. to Milan and Florence Henderson Gardner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Benny Joe Gardner, and grandson Adam Mosella. Derrell is survived by his wife of 57 years Vicki Schwab Gardner; his children Tim Gardner of Little Rock, Eddie Gardner of Crocketts Bluff, Carrie Mosella of Edwardsville, Ill., and Beyjo Gunnell of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren Slay, Candice, Stefan, Alex, Eddie, Nina, and Andrea; two great-grandchildren Slayton and Ben; and two sisters Myra Moss of Florida and Gail Farmer of Heber Springs.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. May 10 at Essex Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. May 11 at Essex Funeral Home with burial in Crocketts Bluff Cemetery.
