Betty Jean Proffitt Robertson, age 87, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in Des Arc, Arkansas. Mrs. Robertson was born October, 4, 1931, in Whitten, Arkansas to the late Agnes Birdsell Proffitt and Billy Proffitt. She enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, and was a member of the Fourth Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Keith Robertson (Michi) of West Helena, Arkansas; two daughters-in-law, Betty Robertson of West Helena, Wanda Robertson of West Helena; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Reed (Tommy), Jenny Turner (Britt), Brandon Robertson, Carman Dunigan (Randy), Jake Robertson (Kaliee), Keith Robertson Jr. (Lacy), Brooke Robertson; 12 great-grandchildren, T.J. Reed, Katie Reed, Chelsea Nelson (Griffin), Cody Robertson, Jackson Robertson, Raeann Dunigan, Hayden Robertson, Aubrey Robertson, Logan Robertson, Cache Robertson, Kimber Robertson, Kaleb Miller; one great, great-grandchild, Tilly Reed; two sisters, Jackie Ward Hill, Sharon Howard; six brothers, Barry Jack Proffitt, Bobby Proffitt, Thomas Proffitt, Willis Proffitt, Winfred Proffitt, Don Proffitt; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Robertson; three sons, Jerry Robertson, Dennis Robertson, Bruce Robertson; one grandson, Chris Robertson; one sister, Karen McGuire; two brothers, Billy Proffitt, Douglas Proffitt.
A graveside service for Betty Robertson will be held Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 6-8 p.m., at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Lance Madden will officiate. Pallbearers are Britt Turner, James Haynes, Jake Robertson, Randy Dunigan, Tommy Reed, and T.J. Reed. Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
