On May 9, 2019, Kenneth Anthony "Buck" Freyaldenhoven left this world to be with his Lord and Savior. On Christmas Day, 1947, Rose Andrews Freyaldenhoven presented her husband Dan Freyaldenhoven, Sr. with a son, Kenneth Anthony "Buck" Freyaldenhoven at Dickerson Clinic in Conway, AR. He was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and Petit Jean Vo-Tech. Growing up, Buck was raised on the family farm working with his family. Perhaps this is the reason he continued to work with family. He, along with his brother, founded Freyaldenhoven Heating and Cooling which has served Conway for 50 years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, sitting on his patio watching hummingbirds, and spending time in the mountains at his cabin. After retirement, Buck continued to surround himself with family. Family was his life, and life was his family. Nothing pleased him more than cooking and baking for them. He especially enjoyed making homemade bread and sharing it with others. It was his family that supported him as he fought the hard fight to get back to health and back to them. Family that went before him were his parents, his mother and father-in-law Lester and Pauline Gabbard; two of his brothers Dan Freyaldenhoven, Jr. and Bob Freyaldenhoven. Those left to remember his legacy are his wife of 50 years Judy Gabbard Freyaldenhoven; his son John and Michele Freyaldenhoven; his daughters: Paula Freyaldenhoven; Amy and Ron Wood; Kathryn "Katy" and Taylor Shouse; his grandchildren, that added extra life to his years: Anna Grace Freyaldenhoven; Andrew Freyaldenhoven; Adam Freyaldenhoven, Tenley Shaw, Jackson Shaw, Trip Wood, Cooper Wood, Max Wood, Sawyer Shouse, and grandson Shouse to come; brothers: Larry and Brenda Freyaldenhoven, David and Deborah Freyaldenhoven; sisters: Dorothy Miller, Rosemary and Frank Paladino, Martha and Greg Nash; sisters-in-law: Shirley Freyaldenhoven and Sharon Freyaldenhoven; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., with visitation following at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Conway Regional Medical Center, especially the nurses in the CVICU who became like family and worked so lovingly and diligently to bring him back to health. St. Jude's Children's Hospital was Buck's favorite charity.
