Kona Lee Miller Johnson, 84, of Springdale, died Friday, May 10, 2019. She was born in Quemado, New Mexico on October 24, 1934, the daughter of Gipsy Owen and Jasper Miller. She resided in California, Huntsville, Johnson, and Springdale for the past 65 years. Kona loved her home and time with family and friends. She enjoyed flowers, reading, music and dancing. She is survived by her beloved children, James David Johnson, Donna Johnson, Sherrie Curry and husband Buddy, all of Springdale; her most precious granddaughter, Leigh Ann Swift and husband Wes of Atlanta, Georgia; two great-grandchildren, Kona Blake Swift, her namesake, and Kyle Parker Swift; her brother's daughters, Linda Bolton, Carol Hunter, Sue Miller, Lillian Miller; and her extended Johnson family that held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Johnson, and a brother, Jerry Miller and his wife, Gladys. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at Kings Cemetery near Elkins. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, online obituary and guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.
