William L. Bennett

William L. Bennett, 79, passed away on May 11th, 2019. He was the son of J.W. and Ann Penton of McGehee, Ark., both deceased. He leaves behind the love and joy of his life, wife Sandy of Heber Springs, his son Brad (Jennifer) of Fayetteville and his sister Lynda Penton of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He also leaves behind a special group of high school friends that were never far from his thoughts or his company. He was a retired educator and spent his entire career in the school systems. He was a dedicated hunter, fisherman and lover of the outdoors. He attended the First Baptist Church of Heber Springs, but was still a member of the First Baptist Church of McGehee where he grew up. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14th at Griffin Culpepper Funeral Services in McGehee, Ark. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the McGehee Cemetery.
