She was born to the late Adolph Charles Hesse and Mathilda (Tillie) Carolina Duensing Hesse on January 20, 1915, in Prairie County in a small community of Ulm, Ark. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Dobbs who passed in 1994. She was a proud mother and a loving grandmother to her many grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. In 2016, she transferred her membership to Grace Lutheran Church in Little Rock where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. One of her favorite times of the year was spring when her flowers would start to bloom and the birds would be singing, she was always out in her yard planting and taking care of her garden. She was a loyal Razorback and Dallas Cowboy fan; she never missed a game on TV. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband (Arthur Dobbs), two children, (Arthur Jr. and Pamella Dobbs-Troy), a brother, (Melvin Heese), a sister, (Helen Grace Hesse-Stinson), three grandchildren (Heather Dobbs, Christine Troy-Laney and Patricia Ziesmer Troy) and one great-granddaughter, (Tina Ziesmer Johnson). She is survived by her son, Melvin Bruce Dobbs (Becky), two sisters, (Dorothy Mae Clayton and Julie Beatrice Leder), seven grandchildren, James Troy (Hope), Kelly Troy, Arlene Troy-Hughes, Bryon Dobbs (Bonnie), Aaron Dobbs (Brandy) and Rachel Dobbs-Darnell (Scott), 28 great grandchildren, 30 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Plus, a bunch of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We would like to thank the caring nurses and CNA's at Sherwood Rehab and Nursing Home and Kindred Hospice Care for the loving care they extended to Alice and her family.
