Bobby Joe King, of Little Rock, went to be with Lord May13, 2019. He was born to John Stanley and Myrtle (Scott) King on June 26, 1934. After graduating from Mabelvale High School, he entered the army and served valiantly in Korea. Upon his discharge, Bobby entered Draughn School of Business where he attained a degree in Accounting and also met the love of his life, Catherine Sandage. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Jennifer Lynn and a son, Bruce Jeffery. Bobby spent several years working in the insurance industry before operating BJ King Accounting for over 40 years, where he valued and cherished all his clients.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his eight siblings; and his son. He's survived by his wife; his daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Barnett; eight grandchildren and two granddaughters-in-law, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and his church family.
Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 8300 Kanis Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72204 with The Very Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
