David O. Fulton passed away peacefully May 16, 2019 at the Arkansas Veterans Home at Fayetteville surrounded by family, friends and a loving and caring staff. David was born April 23, 1946 in Lancaster, California, to Raymond Andy and Helen Rader Fulton. His Air Force family traveled extensively. He lived in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Annandale, Virginia, Alkenbury, England, Sculthorpe. England, Montgomery, Alabama and Clarksville, Arkansas. In 1968 he graduated from the University of Arkansas where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Air Force ROTC and Arnold Air Society. He was a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force and served as a Personnel Specialist and Casualty Assistance Officer during the Viet Nam War. In 1975 He began his real estate career in Fayetteville, with the Fulton-Stanton Company, then The Fulton Associates, then Century 21 Dave Fulton. Between 1978 and 1999 he built Century 21 Dave Fulton into the largest Century 21 franchise in Arkansas with offices in five cities, during which time he was the number one Century 21 broker in Arkansas. He was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table of Fayetteville Board of Realtors. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors, was a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager and a Certified Real Estate Appraiser. He was awarded the designation of Graduate Realtors Institute, GRI, and was a charter member of the National Million Dollar Roundtable of the National Association of Real Estate Sales Executives. He was also recognized in Who's Who in American Real Estate. He received the Arkansas Realtors Association President's Award for dedication to the Realtors code of ethics and outstanding service to the Real Estate Industry. He served as the President of the Fayetteville Board of Realtors and was voted Realtor of the year for 1986. Dave was a long-time member of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce where he served on many committees and as Chairman of the Board in 2001. In 1968 he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Vawter Fulton. Together they owned Town and Country Shop as well as real estate businesses. Dave had a quick wit and an ability to call a spade a spade. He enjoyed and played sports of all types and had a life-long love of the game of golf. He made three holes-in-one at Fayetteville Country Club where he was a forty-seven-year member. There he was active on many committees including the board of directors where he served as president. He loved to cook and entertain gatherings of friends and family. His dogs were his children. He was a Presbyterian. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, brother, Richard Fulton (Barbara) of Orlando, Florida, sister, Carol Fulton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, nephew and namesake, Andrew David Fulton, Gainesville, Florida, brother-in-law Jim Vawter (Jan), nephew James Vawter (Sophia), all of Fayetteville, and niece Amanda Fick (Kevin) of Springfield, Missouri, and much-loved great nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2019, at First United Presbyterian Church, 695 Calvin Street, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703.
