Margaret Louise Bogan

Margaret Louise Bogan passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark. following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Margaret was born October 9,1937 in Okmulgee, Okla., to Ross and Mildred Atkinson, the second of four children. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 47 years, John Bogan, and brother-in-law Bill Savage. She is survived by sisters, Barbara Savage of Jacksonville, Ark., Marsha Langdon and husband Les of Frankston, Texas and brother Ross of Jasper, Ark., stepson, Tim Bogan and wife Susie of Bella Vista, Ark. And many nieces and nephews. Margaret's family moved to Caripito, Venezuela in the summer of 1948 from California. She graduated from elementary school in 1951 and graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy in San Marcos, Texas in May 1955. Margaret graduated from Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas in 1959, with a bachelor's degree in Business with minors in Computer Science and Sociology. Margaret was a proud 50 year+ member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority with a degree of Torch Master. She was very active with the Washington County Extension Service and an avid knitter, baker and cake decorator. Graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Funeral Chapel.
