Bettie "Tina" Stuart, age 91, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday May 21, 2019. She was born May 21, 1928 in Monroe, Louisiana to Sidney and Bettie O'Niell Moore. Growing up in New Orleans she went on to attend Louisiana State University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. Upon graduation she worked as an elementary school teacher then went on to become an international stewardess for Central and Southern Airlines for six years. She was married and widowed twice. First, she married Jules Lizarraga and had two children, Libby and Brad. Then she married Rupert Stuart and had one daughter, Alison. After raising her family and the death of her second husband she became a Child Advocate for the Fayetteville Peace at Home Family Shelter. After retirement she joined the Marion Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. She is survived by two daughters, Libby Lizarraga of Fayetteville and Alison Stuart Newman and her husband Rob of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one son, Brad Stuart and his wife Glenda of Royse City, Texas and their son, Jules Michael Stuart. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
