Mary Elizabeth "Sue" Spainhouer passed away peacefully May 22, 2019 in her home. She was born July 12, 1938 in Gould, Ark. to the late T.J. and Willie Leon Stovall. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother but we are joyful that there is no more suffering. Her Dad started calling her Susie Q when she was younger and the name Sue stuck with her. She was the class of 1956 in the White Hall School District and she furthered her education attending UAM and later transferring to Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) graduating in 3 years with a degree in Home Economics. After college she took a job in Watson, Ark. as the new Home Economics teacher and there she met a slim fellow whom had just returned from the Armed Services by the name of Bobby Joe Spainhouer. It wasn't long they married and had two children, Bobbie Sue and Lamar. She continued to teach for 20 years then she served as the Director of the Southeast Arkansas Migrant Educational Co-op for over 24 years until she retired. Sue had 45 years in Education she has worked with some of the states most dedicated individuals and made long lasting friendships that has blessed her well. In her last 24 years she made some of the strongest friendships in her life at the Southeast Arkansas Co-op at Lakeside in Lake Village. We would like to thank the staff for their care and patience with Mom as she tried to carry out her obligations in her final year of education. Her final year of education ended in 2009. That year her loving husband drove her 2 hours roundtrip in the morning and 2 hours in the evening taking her back in forth to work because driving had become a challenge. But that was okay because they got to spend more time together. Mom has been a great daughter, a great wife and partner to our Dad and an incredible Mom to her children. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Spainhouer and daughter, Bobbie Sue Krank. She is survived by one son, Lamar and wife Mary Spainhouer of Jonesboro and children, Anna and Cole, grandson, Justin and wife Ashley Robertson of Dumas and children, Addy, Charleigh and Boston, granddaughte, Sara and husband Lance and children Ryan, Claire and Hayden. Also by a Special Aunt Alloyse Morman. Graveside service Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 2 p.m., Watson Cemetery, Watson, Ark. with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating.
