Paul Dean Burrow passed from this life Thursday, May 23, 2019 at St. Bernard's Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born April 18, 1936 in Fitzhugh, Arkansas to the late Ben Burrow Sr. and Gussie Burrow.
Paul has resided in Jonesboro for the last 43 years after coming from Osceola. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan. Paul did volunteer work for Arkansas State University for over 32 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and mentoring young men. Paul loved cooking and feeding the Arkansas State University Men's Basketball Team.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brother, Ben Burrow Jr. and Hoyle Burrow; and a sister, Forestine Taggert.
Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Burrow, of the home; one son, Randall Burrow of Jonesboro; two brothers, Tommy Burrow of Warren, Ark., and Bob Burrow of Augusta, Ark.; two sisters, Bette Colbert of Tenn., and Pat Hargrove of Warren; a host of many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, James Manes.
A visitation will be from 1-2 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow at 2 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home with Arliss Dickerson and Ross Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Matt Knight, Tommy Knight, Anthony Hulen, Ryan Crawford, Mike Broadway, James Bourland, James Manes, and James Dean will be an honorary pallbearer.
