William Mace "Bill" Ferguson, 75, of Carlisle went to be with the Lord and the love of his life, his wife, Bonnie, on Friday, May 24, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Lemoine "Cowboy" and Margaret Lovia Tucker "Bootsie" Ferguson and his wife of 48 years, Bonnie Flynn Ferguson. Bill was born September 5, 1943 in Russellville, Arkansas. He graduated from Pottsville High School; served in the United States Marine Corps serving two tours in Vietnam. He was also in the Arkansas Army National Guard for over 20 years. He retired from Remington and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by his son, William M. "Billy" Ferguson and Randall Womack of Hot Springs; his daughter, Rebecca S. Ferguson of Carlisle; grandchildren, Kaley Elizabeth Ferguson and Emma Kirsten Ferguson of Hot Springs; sister, Margaret Sue Nowell of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Frank Ferguson and wife, Joyce of Pottsville, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Boyd Funeral Home, 207 East 2nd St., Lonoke on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Central Arkansas ASPCA, 139 Shade Tree Lane, Jacksonville, Ark. 72076.
