Agnes Joann Sullivan

Agnes Joann Sullivan, 84, of Lonoke, Ark., passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 in Waldron, Ark. She was born July 13, 1935, in Huntingdon, Tenn., to George William James and Mollie Agnes King. At age 8, Joann's mother passed away. She and her sister Jane lived with relatives off and on through her teen years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George Sullivan, son Tommy Sullivan, great-grandson Tyler Sullivan, sister Jane Kirkpatrick, and her parents. Joann loved her family and was dearly devoted to them. She worked hard to help George in supporting their family and made many personal sacrifices for her children to see that they had the best that she could provide for them. A wonderful cook, she was well known for her prize winning fried pies and pear preserves. She was much loved by her family (and many friends) in return. Joann is survived by three children, James Sullivan (Kathy), Cathy Ellis, and Phyllis Vitulli (Mark); seven grandchildren, Jeremy Sullivan, Maggie Zickefoose (Greg), Katie Baney (John), Shawn Sullivan (Reagan), Chris Sullivan (Jennifer), Danielle Gabrion, and Cody Vitulli; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 5th, at Boyd's Funeral Home in Lonoke, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 6th, at New Life Ministries, 12506 Hwy 165, North Little Rock, Ark., with burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Austin, Ark. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons Jeremy Sullivan, Chris Sullivan, and Cody Vitulli, nephew Tyson Thompson, and grandson-in-laws John Baney and Greg Zickefoose.
