Jessie Clinton Buck of Sheridan passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. He was born January 24, 1927 in Alpine, Arkansas to the late Carrol Jahu Buck and Cornelius Bessie Thompkins Buck. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Clinton Buck and one daughter-in-law Lee Annette Glover Buck; Jessie's wife. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan. Honorably discharged as a 1st Lt. He was a Sunday School teacher at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He was also an Elementary School Principal. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Leona Estelle Wise Buck, one son; Jessie Carrol Buck, three daughters: Retha Carron Buck Mosley and husband Gilbert of Bearden, Ark., Reba Jean Buck of Sheridan, Ark., Becky Kaylene Buck Morgan and husband John of Arkadelphia and one daughter-in-law Krista, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Gillson, Adam DePriest, Joshua Pollard, Ethan Morgan, Caleb Buck, Jacob Morgan, Corey Victorian, Nathan Clemons, Gilbert Mosley and John Morgan. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Bro. Kenneth Click officiating.
