Marian Louise (Luck) Hindman was born February 28, 1932, to Herman E. and Edith Asp Luck, in Watertown, South Dakota, and passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the age of 87, in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Marian married Robert W. "Bud" Hindman on October 1, 1950. They raised their family in Watertown and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary shortly before Bud died in 2015. She was Mother to four children: Laurel Hindman Shoecraft (Chuck), Susan Hindman Dornbusch, Oren S. Hindman (Vicki), and Mark W. Hindman (Robin); she was known as Maga to nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a cherished younger sister to Hermione Luck Aaker Fuss and Howard Luck. Marian loved to bake bread, "blonde brownies," and special cookies and desserts for her family. She wrote cards and letters to her loved ones all her life, leaving unique records and fond memories for all of us. She had a great talent for knitting; she crafted beautiful sweaters and hats, cozy afghans, and witty knitted toys for everyone in her family. Mother made extraordinary mementoes, experiences, and memories in a nurturing, supportive, and loving family, for all of us. We have all raised our families with her example in mind, and we will always remember her with great love. Marian's children want to thank our cousin Lynn Aaker of Hot Springs Village, who has provided assistance and loving support to all of us for so many years. We also want to thank the caregivers of Abundant Life Care Home and Dirksen Memorial Hospice, both of Hot Springs Village, for their generous and skillful care of Mother and their kindness to our family over the last four years. Arrangements entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. On line condolences can be made at www.cedarvalefuneralhome.com.
