Dennis Melvin Jech

Rev. Dennis Melvin Jech, 91 year old resident of Gentry, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2019. He was born on March 30, 1928 in El Reno, Oklahoma, to Charlie G. Jech and Agnes S. Miller. His family moved to Gentry when he was 8 years old and he grew up there. Dennis graduated from Gentry High School and attended South Central Bible College in Hot Springs, Arkansas.He married Maudie Coulson on March 25, 1950 in Gentry. Dennis served as an Assembly of God Minister in Malvern, Huntsville, Harrisburg, Green Forest, Winslow, Gentry, Cedarville, Rogers, and Fort Smith. He was a member of the General Council of Assemblies of God for over 69 years. Dennis was a member of the Gentry Assembly of God Church, and was still serving as Associate Pastor at the Decatur Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Leslie, Lloyd, Otto, Paul, Carl, and Sanford; and one sister, Stazie Viewig. He is survived by his wife, Maudie; two sons, Terry Jech and wife Cheryl of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jeff Jech and wife Patti of Berryville, Arkansas; two daughters, Teresa Bradford and husband Chuck of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Janice Reed of Fort Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Buller, Shawna Davis, Brent Bradford, Tera Mitchell, Melissa Goodell, Kara Trimble, Ryan Jech, and Blake Jech; twenty-two great grandchildren; one brother, Roy Jech and wife Georgenia of Gentry; one sister, Inez Bramwell of Gentry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019 at Decatur Assembly of God, with Rev. Kirk Anderson and Rev. Dennis Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery.
