James A. Martin Jr.

James A. Martin Jr. passed away on Oct. 11, 2019, in his home in Junction City, Calif. He was 85. He was born in Hot Springs, Ark. on Sept. 20, 1934. After graduating from Lakeside High School, he moved to Burbank, Calif. where he met his wife, Beverly May. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 2, 2019. Moving to California, he fulfilled a long-term dream of working in the aircraft industry, beginning as am inventory clerk and retiring 37 years later as a manager of the Graphic Arts Department. Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to Junction City, Calif., where they lived for 29 years. Those years were happily spent traveling, flying his own airplane, camping, boating, fishing, and crabbing with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, his son and daughter-in-law, James and Melinda, and his daughter Lorraine. He is also survived by his brother, Fred and wife, Virginia; sisters, Johnette and Dorothea, Margarette and husband, Dave; and by his six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
