Fagan Andrew "Andy" Fullington was born on December 3, 1946 in Benton. He left this world on November 11, 2019. Andy will be remembered for his hard work, his ability to fix most anything and his devotion to helping his family and friends in their times of need. Andy was a Radarman Second Class in the Navy and served as an Electronic Warfare Operator and Watch Section Supervisor on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 2016, he retired from the Almatis/Alcoa plant after 42 years of working various jobs within the company. From X-ray technician in their medical department to working along their chemical engineers in the Calcines department. Andy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patti, his daughter Jenny Johnston and husband Danny, his son Jacob Fullington and wife Carol. "Grumpa" will be missed by his four grandchildren, Dalton and Erin Johnston and Blaine and Shelby Fullington. He is also survived by Majon Downs, his sister and her daughter Anna Brewer and husband Melvin. Andy also had several nieces, nephews and cousins that will miss his willingness to help out if something needed to be fixed or replaced. Andy is preceded in death by his parents, John and Zona Fullington of Benton. Visitation and Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15th at Salem United Methodist Church starting at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
