Norman A. Pollard Sr

Norman Arlan Pollard Sr., 90, passed away on November 12, 2019. Norman was born in Bradford, Ark., on September 7, 1929, to James E. and Florence Belle Taylor Pollard. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Sylvester, Elgin and Calvin. Norman was an Army vet, serving in Japan and Korea. He retired from Central Arkansas Water after 35 years and then the serious travel began! Norman and Erma officially became snowbirds, living in Apache Junction, Ariz. during the winter months and then continuing to travel to Branson, Mo., and various parks throughout the country. Norman is survived by his wife of 65 years, Erma Jean; son, Norman Jr. (Virginia); granddaughters, Nikki and Melanie (who called him "Peep"); step-grandson, Jerry Jones; sister-in-law, Barbara Pollard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to The Crossing at Riverside in Searcy, Ark., and to Arkansas Hospice. Family will receive family and friends on November 14, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 12 noon, with funeral beginning at 12 noon at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy. 5, Alexander, Ark.
