Reza Arab

After a lengthy illness, Reza Arab, 69, of Hot Springs, passed away quietly at home surrounded by his family on November 17, 2019. Reza was born August 25, 1950 in Tehran, Iran. He was predeceased by his parents, Fakhri Ashghari and Nasser Arab. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon Arab; son, Jay Gouy of Bowling Green, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Austin Gouy, Caleb Ford, Christopher Gouy and Lillian Lee Gouy, all of Bowling Green; five brothers, Mohammad Arab and Majid Arab of San Diego, California, Mehdi Arab of Sacramento, California, and Ali Arab and Amir Arab of Nashville, Tennessee; five sisters, Zahra Arab of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Marjan Alvand of Raleigh, North Carolina, Neda Taghavi of Lewis Grove, Ohio, Mehay Arab of Nova Scotia and Nasrin Arab of Tehran; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Little Rock Islamic Center followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Pine Bluff. A memorial celebration of Reza's life will be held today, Wednesday, November 20 at 2 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock.
