Gilbert "Pat" W. Pattyson, 88, of Rogers, passed away November 19, 2019. He was born May 18, 1931, to Jay and Jennie Pattyson in Sheridan, New York. MSgt. Pattyson joined the Air Force in 1949 and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars as a USAF 311th Air Commando and Flight Line Chief. He earned his wings as a Flight Engineer on the B–25 and also flew the B-29. After retirement to NWA, he was employed by Daisy Manufacturing, Union Carbide, and First Brands. Pat retired to the Beaver Lake area and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving and courageous man. Pat is survived by his wife Janie, of the home; three sons, Craig (Crystal), Jon (Brenda), Scott (Lynn); four grandsons, Jason (Natalie), Justin (Jennifer), Bailey, Connor; one granddaughter, Ashley; great-granddaughters, Allison, Olivia, Mattie; sister, Shirley (Robert) Coon of Fredonia, N.Y.; nieces, Gileen French of Dunkirk, N.Y., Kristi Morey, and Kendra Rogers; nephews, Paul and Bill Everhardt, Buffalo, N.Y., Arthur and Jay Andrews of Oregon, Pat Elliott; and those who also called him Dad: Johnny, Darrin, and Kim Taylor, Bobby and Angie Cook; and good friends Buck and Joanne Collier, and Homer Makinson. Graveside Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2019, with Military Honors at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark.
