Lucile Royse Cathcart

Lucile Royse Cathcart, 91 of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away, Friday, November 22, 2019 in Rogers, Ark. She was born September 10, 1928 in Texhoma, Okla., to George Wilbur Royse and Ola Mae (Newby) Royse. She was a retired third grade school teacher at Asbell Elementary in Fayetteville and a former member of Fayetteville First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Eastern Star and UCT. She was an avid Razorback fan and loved to play golf and walk. She preceded in death by her parents, husband of 72 years Alfred "Al" Cathcart, and eight siblings. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Lee Nutt and husband Ken of Springdale, Ark., two sons, Larry Alan Cathcart of Ft. Worth, Texas, Garry Dean Cathcart of Bella Vista, Ark., one sister, Darlene Garriott of Scottsburg, Ind., five grandchildren, Michael Cathcart, Steven Cathcart, Brian Nutt, Nancy Cathcart, Sarah Crockett, and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday November 25, from 4-6 p.m., at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A Graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 26th at Fayetteville National Cemetery with Reverend James D. Johnson officiating.
