Michele Villines of Bella Vista, Ark., was born October 11, 1946, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Johnnie Neal Villines and Joe Darrell Villines, Sr. Michele died and her spirit was set free November 21, 2019, at home.
Michele grew up in Harrison, Ark., and graduated from Harrison High School in 1964. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BSE in education. Michele was certified in elementary education and earned one of the first three certifications for special education from the University of Arkansas in 1969. She taught in Forrest City, Searcy, Bentonville, and Rogers. After 28 years of teaching elementary and special education students, she retired to help care for her three wonderful grandsons.
In addition to her parents, Michele was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Darrell Villines, Jr.
She is survived by her only child and devoted daughter, Stacy Wray McKean, husband Brian, and three beloved grandsons, Nathaniel Edwards, Kellen Edwards, and Wyeth McKean.
A private celebration of Michele's life will be held by her family and friends. The family has designated a memorial scholarship fund for a special education major in memory of Michele.
