Otis Bertrum Knox Jr.

Otis Bertrum Knox Jr., 91, of Mabelvale, went to be with his Lord and Savior November 23, 2019. He was born March 26, 1928 in Eastland, Texas the son of Otis Bertrum Knox, Sr. and Katie Chloe Arnold Knox. He was a member and deacon of Lifeline Baptist Church. At the age of 16 years old, he enlisted in the Army to fight in World War II. He continued his service in the Army in Korea and Air Force in Vietnam. He retired from the Air National guard as a SMSgt. He was an alumni of Texas A&M and was a Civil Engineer. Preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Doyz Knox, and his sister, Martin Jean Morton, he is survived by his son, James Knox (Holly), of Mayflower and his daughter, Sarah Clement (Jeff), of Benton; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with another to arrive in February. He will be remembered for his intelligence, work ethic, kindness, and dry sense of humor. A special thanks to Mt. Carmel and Saline County Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to any local humane society. Graveside service with full Military Honors will be 12 noon, Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Roselawn Memorial Park, Asher and Woodrow, Little Rock 72204 with Rev. Jeff Dial officiating.
