Paul Lester Mitchell

Paul Lester Mitchell, age 88, of Jacksonville passed away Monday, November 25, 2019. He was born December 26, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Reverend Lloyd and Ethelyn Lunn Mitchell. Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Mitchell; daughter, Janice Mitchell; and sister, Marion Neal. Survivors include his daughters, Karen (Robert) Mims of North Little Rock and Patricia (Joplin) Carlisle of Cabot; sisters, Phyllis Pavlak of Ocala, Florida, Marjorie De Booy of Cumberland Cove, Tennessee, and Ruth Utt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brothers, Donald Mitchell of Des Moines, Iowa and David Mitchell of Topsham, Maine; grandchildren, Tal Mims, Vaughn Mims, Riley Carlisle, and Katie (Brad) Spain; and great-grandson, Oliver. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Lisa Corry officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
