Robert Ray Loyd of Bella Vista passed away on September 29, 2019. He was born on September 23, 1938 in Elk City, Okla. to the late Jack and Gladys (nee Mutschler) Loyd. Bob worked as a trucker for Wal-Mart for over 30 years and 3.5 million accident-free miles. He was an Army veteran, and a member of the Baptist faith. He will be remembered as a good man who was proud of the family he raised with his wife, Willadean. His survivors include his children, Kent Novak (Jeanne) of Bentonville, Dana Wilhite (Steve) of Bella Vista, Jack Loyd (Christine) of Bentonville, Susan Mize (Larry) of Goodman, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin Loyd; and an uncle, Oren "Bud" Loyd. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Willa Dean "Willadean" Loyd. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Rollins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside Willadean, the love of his life. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers. www.RollinsFuneral.com.
