Mr. William Clinton "Bill" Orr, age 74, of Benton, died Thursday, September 26, 2019 at his home. He was born in Nashville, Arkansas on March 11, 1945 to the late Coy Clinton Orr and Edna V. Lovelis Orr. He was reared and educated in North Little Rock, graduating from North Little Rock High School. Bill served for 22 years in the United States Navy, retiring as Yeoman First Class. He also was a Civil Service employee, having worked for the United States Postal Service for 10 years. Bill attended Park Place Baptist Church in Bryant. He was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed bowling and listening to audio books. Bill loved going out to eat Chinese food, and mowing and caring for his seven acre property. He was the widower of the late Marilyn Ward Orr, to whom he was married on October 17, 1969. She preceded him in death on September 2, 2013. He is survived by his son, Sean Orr (Kerry) of Benton; a sister, Wanda Orr Purser of Bryant; a grandchild, Chloe Orr; by numerous nieces and nephews, and a great-nephew, Gray Rhodes. Bill was also preceded in death by a sister, Pauline (Polly) Orr. A memorial service followed by Military Honors will be at eleven o'clock Saturday morning, October 5, 2019, at Park Place Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas, with Brother Gary Lambright officiating, and under the direction of J.A. Funk Funeral Home of Malvern.
