LaNita Aline Cloughly, age 86, passed away at her home on October 7, 2019. She was born on September 29, 1933, in Oklahoma, to Joe Lafayette and Aline (Campbell) Thompson. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Cloughly; her daughter, Tina Cloughly; and her brother, Len Thompson.
LaNita had a deep love of music and for the world around her. She enjoyed crocheting as a hobby. Most of all, she loved children and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Sue Morse of Prairie Grove, Jim Cloughly and wife Cathy of Charlotte, North Carolina, Linda Burnett and husband Larry of Fayetteville, and Bobby Cloughly and wife Dana of Springdale; two brothers, Joe and William Thompson; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Hindsville. Interment to follow at Burkshed Cemetery in Hindsville.
