Jimmy F. Reppo, 79, of Glenwood, died Monday, October 7, 2019. He was born July 5, 1940, in Bonnerdale, and on July 9, 1960, he married Naomi Payte. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Reppo. Jimmy was a Christian in his faith and a 1958 graduate of Caddo Gap High School. He went on to become a four-year letterman in basketball for Henderson State from 1958-1962. Jimmy still holds the Henderson State record for per game scoring average for a single season and in 2019, was inducted into the Henderson Reddies Hall of Honor. In 1962, he graduated from Henderson State Teachers College with a BSE. After serving two years in the U.S. Army, Jimmy coached four years at Jessieville Schools and then returned to Henderson as assistant basketball coach to Don Dyer, where he completed his Master's degree. The remainder of his coaching career was first spent at Bradley High School, where he led the senior girls to win the state championship. He then also coached at Taylor and Caddo Hills Schools. After retirement, Jimmy managed Rocky Pines Farms and served as a volunteer fireman and first responder for the Bonnerdale Fire Department for over 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Reppo; son, Tommy (Priscilla) Reppo, all of Glenwood; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Gene (Donna) Reppo of Hurricane, Utah; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, in Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with visitation, 2 p.m.-3 p.m. Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
