James E. Boedeker of Bentonville passed away on October 10, 2019 born on December 26, 1935 in Meridian, Texas to the late Theodore Christian Boedeker and Hulda Zieglet Boedeker. Married to Mary A. Ligon June 18, 1956.
Beloved father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather. Served the country he loved in the Marine Corps for 22 and a half years. He will be forever remembered by his friends and family as James, Jim, Big Daddy.
James is preceded in death by his wife, mother and father, sisters Ida Florine Rudy, Mattie Pearl Villarreal, Rita June Kuehn.
James will be missed by his survivors, brother T.C. Boedeker and sisters Barbara Faye Nichols, Edna May Sellers and Ernestine Hulda Strickland. Sons James Boyd, Brad Victor and Burt Douglas Boedeker and several grand and great grand kids.
All are invited to drop in for a casual, uplifting celebration of James's life from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. James will be buried with military honors at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 18 in White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas.
