My lovely wife, Janice Skelton, 77, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away October 9, 2019 on our 61st wedding anniversary. She was born March 28, 1942 in Neosho, Mo., to Robert and Roxanne Jones. Janice and Lew Skelton were married on October 9, 1958 in Miami, Okla. Janice was responsible for always making a wonderful home through all the moves with Walmart. Keeping the family together was important to her. She and Audi Walton helped handle all the Walmart year-end meetings with the assistant manager wives. Janice was a very caring person, always putting her family first. Her love for animals was evident in her daily life with all of her horses and dogs. If a family member, friend, or stray dog needed help, Janice was the first to step up. If you knew Janice, you were very lucky. She was loved by all and will be missed, every single day. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Jones. Janice is survived by her husband, Lew Skelton of Bentonville, Ark.; two children, James Skelton and Sherri Skelton; a sister, Carolyn Sample; three grandchildren, Nathan, Grant and Anjean; and seven great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Janice will be interred at IOOF Cemetery in Neosho, Mo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Benton County Humane Society in her honor. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Online condolences may be made to stockdale-moodyfs.com.
