DOROTHY FAY PETTEY, 88, of North Little Rock passed from this life to the next on October 12, 2019. She was born to the late Charles and Maude Kee on January 16, 1931 in Hazen, Ark. Dorothy met the love of her life when she was just eight years old. Several years later she married Morris Pettey in 1953, and together they raised their family in North Little Rock. Dorothy had a tremendous work ethic and gave everything she had to anything she did. She never found anything she could not accomplish. She wrote two genealogy books, without the use of technology! Dorothy also attended college and obtained her GED at the age of 61. She was a long time member of Levy Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her four sisters, Ona Rogers, Stella Pettey, Jessie Foster, Lottie Jenkins; and two brothers Harvey Kee and Henry Frank Kee. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 Years, Morris; three children, Ronald Pettey, Janis Huey, and Michael Pettey; one grandson Lee Pettey; two great-grandchildren Hayden and Autumn, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends on October 16, 2019 from 9-10 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be 3 p.m., at Center Point Cemetery in Hazen.
