Donald Lee Moser

Donald Lee Mooser, age 84 of Searcy, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at his home as he wished. He was born September 24, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Paul Mooser and Frances Matthews Mooser. Donald was a Master Electrician by trade, eventually owning and operating Mooser Electric for more than 50 years; he was a member of and served as President of Electric League of Arkansas. He also served as a reservist for the US Navy for 20 years. He served his community by serving with the Searcy Masonic Lodge, #49 for many years, also. Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman; he established the MEC Hunting Club in south Arkansas for deer hunters. One of his greatest joys in life was to take his family to Pensacola, Florida for a two-week vacation every summer. Donald reached his final goal of seeing his grandson, Austin, complete Medical School at UAMS. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane Mooser; one son, Dr. Paul Jeffrey Mooser and wife Gloria of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one daughter, Donna Jane Armstrong and husband Bob of Cabot; two grandchildren, Ashley J. Armstrong of Bentonville, Arkansas, Dr. Austin J. Armstrong of Houston, Texas; one step-granddaughter, Monique of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one step-great-granddaughter, Charlotte of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one brother, Alvin Mooser and wife Nancy of Portland, Oregon; one sister, Laverne Belk of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances Mooser; brother, Paul J. Mooser. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. The family would like to extend a heart-felt Thank You to Taylor, Crystal and Sonia of Arkansas Hospice for the gentle loving care given to him and all of the family during this time.
